Why Steelwater Gun Safes

We staked out a leadership role over a decade ago by designing Steelwater Gun Safes. That's when our founder literally changed the rules for manufacturing and selling gun safes. First, he made a unconditional list of security demands for the manufacturing of gun safes:

Solid welded beads throughout, not just tack welds to strengthen the steel seams.
Caulking around any fireproof material where needed to minimize internal heat temperatures.
Digital locks that are required to have non-volatile combinations with all memory and functional electronics stored inside the safe so the lock resists manipulation.
Reinforced U-Channel rods that connect the locking bolts to the gear assembly to resist prying attacks.
Gear driven lock and bolt system for added strength in case of a punch attack. * Thick enough steel to prevent against common house tools such as crowbars, hammers, and axes.
Heavy duty hinges to ensure a life time of correct door alignment.
Internal relocking systems installed in case of lock removal done by a burglary attack.
Hardplate added to protect the safe lock from being drilled into and manipulated.
Mounting holes to secure the safe to the floor.

A medium sized safe with all these features would have an estimated retail price of over $1,600 in this old distribution process. That's why Steelwater Gun Safes decided to have the safes manufactured and sell them directly from us to you. This alters the price of a $1,600 safe to less than half the cost without jeopardizing the quality. No extra shipping costs, no extra storage costs, no extra mark up costs, and no problems handling warranties.

Just wanted to let you know that I am very happy with every aspect of my purchase. I bought the 22 gun model. I recieved this product one week after buying it online. I wait longer for small packages from the cost from other companies. Your sales and customer support staff are fabulous. The delivery service was great as well, they called and set up the delivery and even had the driver call my cell phone 1/2 hour before arrival so that I did not have to wait for 2 hours. The safe seems top notch as well. The finish was well above what I expected. i have recomenned this safe to all of my friends.

I will receive my second safe today. I have done extensive research, comparing safes on the internet and with out a doubt Steel Water Gun safes are above and beyond the quality of other manufacturers safes that cost 3 to 4 times more. Just compare features like how many active bolts in the door, fire protection, and the weight will give you an idea of the steel being used. Recently tried buying a safe from another manufacturer that claim theirs was better. I had to send it back because all of the claims made were totally exaggerated and if you were to compare it to Steel Water safes, it would be like comparing a reinforced bunker (Steel Water Safe) to a tin can.
